Matt's System Helper-Outer is a basic program designed for IT Technicians. It is a fully portable program designed to run on Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7, though certain features are unavailable across the various versions of Windows. Think of it as a lazy man's interface to the command line. You'll find some common commands, which can be executed at the touch of a button. Fixes for Microsoft Updates and Installer, networking bits, and a common print fix.
Planned Updates in Future Releases:
- UpperFilters/LowerFilters registry fix - Fixes common 'vanishing' CDROM problem.
- Possible simple startup item cleanup, similar to the functionality found in MalwareBytes' StartUpLite, but probably without as much selective functionality - let's leave the really cool features to the guys who were there first (I don't want to tread on anybody's toes!)
- That's all for now, I'm really looking for some input and suggestions. As of 12/12/09, I am about 70% of the way through implementing and testing the Upper/LowerFilters fix. I'll probably wait for other features to be added before releasing another major update.
